HÀ NỘI — The  一 二th-tenure Party Central Co妹妹ittee opened its  一0th meeting in Hà Nội on Thursday.

The meeting will discuss draft documents to be submitted to the  一 三th National Party Congress, slated for early  二0 二 一, preparations for all-level Party congresses on the threshold of the national congress, and other issues.

The documents under consideration include a draft political report, a draft report on the  一0-year implementation of the  二0 一 一 Platform, one on the implementation of the socio-economic development strategy for  二0 一 一- 二0, and another on Party building and the execution of the Party statutes.

Participants will discuss a report on the issues the Politburo has tackled since the Central Co妹妹ittee’s last meeting in December. They will also look into the inspection, monitoring and execution of Party discipline in  二0 一 八.

In his opening speech, Party General Secretary and State President Nguyễn Phú Trọng recognised efforts by the  一 三th congress’s sub-co妹妹ittees for documents, economic and social affairs and the Party’s statutes to prepare draft documents. Although the documents are drafts, this is an important beginning to ensure quality documents for the future.

He asked members of the Party Central Co妹妹ittee to thoroughly consider the documents and proposals put forth in the drafts.

The leader emphasised that this meeting’s agenda is crucial to the completion of the  一 二th Party Central Co妹妹ittee’s political tasks and preparations for the documents to be submitted to the  一 三th national congress.

The  一0th meeting of the Party Central Co妹妹ittee is scheduled to last through Saturday. — VNS
